Lydia Strand

Distributed Organizer


Lydia Strand has been organizing for survivor justice and worker justice for the last ten years. Her work is committed to developing the long term leadership capacity of the people she organizes, and often incorporates spiritual practices or trauma-informed care. She recently helped lead InMyWords, a team building a structural response to the epidemic of sexual violence, worked with TRACC (Trauma Response & Crisis Care) for Movements, and led in faith-based organizing and worker rights organizing in MA. She has also consulted groups from small start-up nonprofits to multi-million dollar organizations on developing more effective strategies and structures. She is committed to building teams and projects that build power for the long term, grounded in sustainability, spirit, and trauma-informed care.
